Erosion-resistant, Micro-expanding Refractory Bricks for Calcination Furnace Vessels

Category:

Refractory materials for calcination furnaces

Product Description

Cylindrical calcining furnace linings made from anti-erosion, micro-expansion refractory bricks—this product is a new development commissioned by China Aluminum Zhengzhou Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., and was jointly researched and developed by our company. Its standout features include high strength, excellent wear resistance, and a dense, compact structure. The advanced production technology employed creates a continuous, silica-rich (SiO₂) dense glaze layer on the brick surface, effectively preventing erosion caused by harmful sulfur elements present in carbon-based materials. Additionally, this product boasts superior high-temperature flexural strength and outstanding thermal shock resistance, making it highly resistant to cracking and spalling under extreme conditions. Notably, the anti-erosion, micro-expansion refractory bricks exhibit higher thermal conductivity compared to conventional silicon bricks, which not only accelerates heat transfer within the furnace but also enhances the furnace's overall heat-storage efficiency. As a result, temperature fluctuations inside the furnace are kept remarkably stable, ensuring optimal combustion conditions for rapid and thorough calcination of petroleum coke—while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption.

Another key feature of this product is its low thermal expansion coefficient, which results in minimal expansion during use. This helps enhance the structural stability of the calcination furnace shell, allowing bricks to fit tightly together and maintaining excellent dimensional stability—ultimately extending the service life of the furnace.
