Red sillimanite and mullite fire-resistant bricks

Category:

Refractory materials for roasting furnaces

Product Description

Currently, the traditional firebrick lining bricks used in China's conventional kilns are primarily manufactured using standard alumina-based refractory materials. However, these bricks suffer from significant drawbacks: they exhibit substantial thermal expansion and shrinkage, low high-temperature strength, and poor thermal stability—issues that ultimately lead to deformation of the kiln walls.

Redschist-mullite refractory bricks are used for alkali roasting furnace fire channels, manufactured by firing at high temperatures of 1500°C after incorporating raw materials such as redschist and kyanite. This process effectively addresses the shortcomings of conventional fire-channel bricks—namely, their high creep rate, elevated porosity, low load softening temperature, and poor thermal stability—while significantly enhancing the bricks' resistance to dimensional changes under extreme heat. As a result, these bricks represent an ideal solution for extending the service life of roasting furnaces.
